Who Amante 1530 Aperitivo Amaro is produced by a collaborative team of high-profile entrepreneurs, including musician Sting and his wife Trudie Styler. The formula was created by world-renowned oenologist Riccardo Cotarella, who also oversees the wines for Sting’s Il Palagio estate. What Amante 1530 Aperitivo Amaro is designed as a more sophisticated, less sugary alternative to mainstream aperitivos like Aperol. It sits in the "sweet spot" between the extreme sweetness of Aperol and the intense bitterness of Campari. The nose is bright and citrusy with fresh lemon and orange. Reviewers also note a distinct "potpourri" floral quality, with hints of honeysuckle, rosemary, and baked apples. It has a lean, medium-bodied entry that avoids being syrupy. Primary flavors include candied orange, ginger, and oolong tea. Unlike many competitors, it features a notable "vegetal bitterness" from Mediterranean herbs like sage and rosemary. The finish is clean and crisp with a subtle peppery warmth and a touch of grapefruit pith bitterness. |

Why Sip it neat with salty snacks like Marcona almonds, green Castelvetrano olives, or aged Pecorino cheese. The salt cuts through the bitterness and makes the candied orange notes pop. |
