	Who Arbikie Highland Rye 4 Year Old Single Grain Scotch is produced by Arbikie Distillery, an independent, family-owned field-to-bottle distillery. The distillery is owned by brothers John, Iain, and David Stirling, whose family has farmed the land for four generations since the 1920s.

	What The Arbikie Highland Rye 4 Year Old is known for its bold, spicy character that is distinctly different from American ryes, leaning more toward earthy, herbal, and deep fruit notes due to its Armagnac finish. Yoy may get a deep, earthy nose that transitions into sweet rye spiciness, and pick up scents of fresh cloves, pipe tobacco, caraway, and even leather, alongside lighter hints of vanilla custard and Danish pastries. The mouthfeel is often described as luxuriant and silky. Key flavors include sticky dates, dried apricots, and a distinct vegetal caraway note. This is balanced by honeyed cereal, black tea, and a perfumed quality that isn't as cloying as some American ryes. It has a long, delightfully spiky finish. Expect lingering rye spices like white pepper, cinnamon, and ginger, which eventually give way to a cleansing, menthol-like sensation and a final touch of dark chocolate bitterness.
