Unlike many clear aquavits, Batch 22 has a deep golden straw color resulting from its specific botanical infusion process.
	Why The spirit's origin story is tied to Hollywood; co-founder Matthew Arkin is the son of the late Academy Award-winning actor Alan Arkin. The recipe was inspired by a unique, unlabeled spirit Matthew tasted while visiting his father on a film set in Eastern Europe in the late 1970s. Because of its savory and botanical backbone, it pairs exceptionally well with foods that are salty, smoked, or pickled, such as smoked fish, oysters, or strong cheeses. All good reasons to us!
