	Who Beefeater London Dry Gin is produced by Beefeater Gin Distillery. The brand was founded in 1863 by James Burrough, a pharmacist who bought a distillery in Chelsea and eventually developed the Beefeater recipe in 1876, and it is one of the few international gin brands that is still physically distilled in Central London.

	What Beefeater London Dry Gin is the benchmark for the "London Dry" style: bold, crisp, and heavy on the juniper. It is widely considered one of the most balanced and versatile gins for cocktails. The aroma is a powerful punch of piney juniper and bright coriander, rounded out by a sharp, clean citrus zest. It has a relatively high ABV (usually 44% in the US, though it varies globally), which gives it a robust, slightly "hot" mouthfeel that allows the botanicals to stand up clearly even when mixed with tonic or vermouth.
	Why Ava Gardner was famously a devoted Beefeater fan. Later in her life, she reportedly kept a thermos of Beefeater in the back of her chauffeur-driven car. She preferred her gin served neat, and by 1963, Beefeater was so popular in her circle that three out of every four bottles of gin imported to the U.S. were Beefeater.
