Founded in 2011 by Mhairi Voelsgen and Erin Brophy, the distillery is known for its "flavor-first" and collaborative approach, often partnering with professional bartenders to create high-quality cocktail modifiers.

	What BroVo Orange Curaçao is a rich, "bartender-style" orange liqueur that tastes like a spiced orange marmalade rather than a sugary triple sec. Because it is made with a base of aged brandy and white rum, it has a much deeper, more "toasted" character than clear orange spirits like Cointreau.
	Why What’s particularly interesting about the distillers at BroVo Spirits is their radical "open-source" collaboration model and their surprisingly low-tech, DIY production methods. BroVo is also one of the few prominent woman-owned distilleries in the U.S. craft spirits scene. They started with just $2,000 and a commitment to using only real, "grown-in-the-ground" ingredients.
