Who Brucato Amaro Woodlands is produced by Brucato Spirits, an artisanal distillery founded by husband-and-wife team James and Sierra Clark in 2018. The brand is named after John G. Brucato, the founder of San Francisco’s first farmers' market in 1943. |

What Brucato Amaro Woodlands is designed to taste like a walk through a California redwood forest. It is the darkest and most "autumnal" of their lineup, focusing on deep fruit and woodsy, earthy notes. The scent is pine needles and damp earth, mixed with the sweetness of dried figs and dark chocolate. It has a rich, jammy entry. The dominant flavors are elderberry and black Mission figs, which provide a dark, wine-like fruitiness. This is quickly balanced by savory, notes of cacao nibs and warm baking spices. It ends with a sturdy, lingering bitterness that feels like toasted oak or bark. Unlike many syrupy amari, it has a clean, dry finish that keeps the fruit from feeling cloying. |

Why The “forest floor” vibe is specifically designed to mimic the sensory experience of a California Redwood forest. Instead of traditional Mediterranean herbs, it uses elderberries, black Mission figs, and cocoa nibs to create that damp, dark, and earthy "woodland" character. |
