	Who Cynar Original is produced and owned by the Campari Group (Gruppo Campari), which acquired the brand in 1995. While it is now a global brand, it has its roots in Padua, Italy, where it was first created in 1952 by Venetian entrepreneur Angelo Dalle Molle.
	Where Cynar Original is primarily produced in Italy, with its main manufacturing now centered just outside of Milan.
	What Despite the giant artichoke on the label, Cynar doesn't actually taste like a vegetable—it tastes like a dark, herbal root beer with a bitter finish. The first sip is surprisingly sweet, with heavy notes of caramel, toffee, and dark chocolate. It has a rich, syrupy mouthfeel similar to a thick balsamic glaze. As the sweetness fades, you'll taste a complex blend of cinnamon, clove, and black tea. This is where the 13 secret herbs come into play, providing a woody, forest-like depth.
