Devil’s Grin was created by master distiller Brett Luchesi with the goal of making a gin that keeps the structure of a classic London Dry while being smoother, more approachable, and less aggressively pine-forward. 

The result is a modern Texas craft gin built around balance and an evolving flavor profile, rather than allowing any single botanical to dominate.

Where
Devil’s Grin is distilled and bottled at Trinity River Distillery in Fort Worth, Texas. Its Texas identity carries into the spirit itself, which is distilled from Texas corn and incorporates locally sourced ingredients alongside botanicals from around the world. 

The gin uses 14 botanicals sourced across six continents, including toasted mesquite bean from South Texas.

Devil’s Grin is a 44% ABV Texas craft gin distilled from Texas corn and made with 14 botanicals. The profile begins with earthy juniper and cedar, moves into brighter citrus and floral notes, and finishes with a soft, warming sweetness. 

The botanical blend includes juniper, toasted mesquite bean, anise, cardamom, galangal, rose hips, allspice, orange peel, orris root, lemon verbena, angelica root, lemon peel, and white sage. The botanicals are introduced through a timed, sequential process rather than all at once.

Why
Devil’s Grin was designed to challenge the idea that gin has to be sharply pine-forward. It keeps juniper at its foundation but builds layers of citrus, floral, spice, and earthy flavors around it, making it approachable for traditional gin drinkers as well as people who normally shy away from gin. Its name and personality reflect that same idea: something familiar at first that reveals something more unexpected as you get into it, fitting the brand’s “Delightfully Deceiving” identity.
