	What Faccia Brutto Aperitivo tastes like a more complex, "grown-up" version of Aperol. While it hits those familiar bright citrus notes, it has a deeper, more savory herbal backbone thanks to its chef-driven recipe. The first sip is dominated by bright orange peel and grapefruit, quickly followed by warm baking spices like allspice and star anise. Because founder Patrick Miller is a former chef, he adds a touch of salt to every batch. This acts as a flavor enhancer, making the bitterness of the gentian root feel smooth rather than harsh. It has a unique, earthy depth from kola nut, leaving a lingering, cola-like sweetness that is much less cloying than mass-market red bitters.
