Icon 1 Who
Germain-Robin 17 Year Old Viognier Single Barrel Brandy is produced by Germain-Robin, a premier craft distillery. The spirit was originally crafted by co-founders Ansley Coale and Hubert Germain-Robin. Hubert Germain-Robin, a Cognac-trained distiller, utilized traditional Prulho Charentais pot stills to distill 100% California Viognier grapes.

Icon 3 What
Germain-Robin 17 Year Old Viognier Single Barrel is a highly aromatic, elegant brandy that reflects the floral characteristics of the Viognier grape, deepened by nearly two decades of oak aging. The nose is exceptionally fragrant and "pretty." Expect intense floral notes of honeysuckle and jasmine mingled with ripe stone fruits like apricot and peach. There is also a subtle, creamy sweetness reminiscent of vanilla bean. On the tongue, it is soft and silky. The fruitiness evolves into candied citrus peel, dried pear, and honey. Because it is aged in Limousin oak, you will notice a refined structure of toasted almond, light cinnamon, and sandalwood. The finish is long, clean, and evolving, leaving a lingering trace of white pepper and floral honey.
Icon 4 Why
To fully appreciate the delicate aromatics of this single barrel, use a Tulip glass or a small wine glass rather than a wide snifter; this concentrates the floral bouquet towards your nose. Serve it at room temperature. Adding ice or chilling it will dull the subtle peach and floral notes. A single drop of room-temperature water can help "open" the aromatics if the 41–44% ABV feels too tight.
