	What Jura 10 Year Old is known for being an approachable and smooth whisky that balances the sweetness of sherry with a very light, coastal smoke. Despite the "Islay" tag often used by retailers, it is an Island single malt that is much milder and less medicinal than a typical Islay scotch. Initial scents of honey, vanilla, and orange are common. You may also notice delicate floral notes, dark chocolate, and a faint wisp of campfire smoke. Some reviewers describe a "maritime" influence, like sea salt or brine. The mouthfeel is often described as smooth and light-to-medium bodied. Major flavors include caramel, nectarines, and toasted almonds. These are balanced by warming spices like ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper. The finish is generally medium in length with lingering notes of roasted coffee beans, dark cocoa, and a touch of salty sea spray.
