	Who Kástra Elión Vodka is a family-owned brand produced by the Mihalopoulos family in collaboration with N.G. Callicounis SA-Distilleries. The brand was founded in 2017 by a group of three friends and family members.

	What Kástra Elión is widely considered a "sipping vodka" because its olive-based distillation gives it a savory, rich profile that is far more flavorful than a traditional grain-only vodka. The nose is subtle and clean, with faint hints of fresh olives, ripe fruit, and a touch of white pepper. It has a remarkably buttery and velvety texture. You’ll taste a delicate, savory saltiness (brine) followed by sweet notes of vanilla, almond, and citrus. The finish is smooth and long, ending with a slight mineral salinity and a gentle, warming spice.
	Why The name Kástra Elión is derived from the Greek words for "castle" (kástro) and "olive" (elia), paying homage to the ancient Byzantine castle that stands guard over the hills and olive groves of Nafpaktos.
