What Kilkerran 8 Year Old Cask Strength Bourbon Cask Matured tastes like a bold mix of creamy bakery sweetness, bright orchard fruits, sharp sea-salt minerality, and a delicate kiss of campfire ash. On the nose there are heavy aromas of rich butterscotch, vanilla custard, vanilla pods, and bakery-fresh custard creams. The mouthfeel is impressively oily, heavy, and robust, completely coating your mouth due to the lack of chill-filtration, and the flavor base is rich pastry notes like buttery shortbread crust blended with smooth caramel chocolate. The finish is very long, warming, and continuously shifting. |
