	Who Mezcal Matra Espadin is produced by the Ortega family. The brand was officially founded in 2011 by Alex Ortega, a third-generation mezcalero, to preserve family traditions that date back to a palenque (distillery) established in 1845.

	What Mezcal Matra Espadin is a mild and well-balanced artisanal spirit with a profile characterized by sweet fruit, roasted coffee, and delicate smoke. Because it is made from 10-year-old "Agave Capon" (agave that has had its flowering stalk cut to concentrate sugars), it is known for having a particularly silky texture and rich sweetness.
	Why Rather than taking a shot, take a tiny sip—referred to as a "kiss"—and let it linger on your palate to adjust to the alcohol before swallowing. Always serve at room temperature. Chilling the spirit or adding ice can mute the delicate floral and mineral nuances.
