	Who The Real McCoy 5 Year Rum is produced at the Foursquare Distillery in collaboration with 4th-generation Master Distiller Richard Seale. The brand was founded in 2013 by documentary filmmaker Bailey Pryor, who was inspired by his research into the Prohibition-era rum runner Bill McCoy.

	What The Real McCoy 5 Year Rum is a smooth, single-blended Barbados rum characterized by its "unadulterated" profile, meaning it contains no added sugar, flavorings, or perfumes. Aged for five years in heavily charred ex-bourbon barrels, it presents a balanced, "whiskey-like" character that appeals to both rum and bourbon enthusiasts. It has a "vivid" nose featuring brown sugar, dried fruit, and oak, with secondary notes of vanilla, honey, and a hint of tropical fruits like banana and coconut. The finish is a medium-length, warm finish with lingering notes of toasted coconut, tobacco, and a subtle saltiness reminiscent of sea air.
	Why Fun fact: Bill McCoy became a legend for being the only smuggler who never "cut" or diluted his alcohol with turpentine or wood alcohol. His undiluted, authentic spirits became known worldwide as "the real McCoy". Research by Bailey Pryor for the film indicated that Bill McCoy originally sourced his rum from the same Foursquare estate where it is produced today.
