What Rockwell Native Amber Vermouth is a medium-sweet style that acts as a middle ground between the Classic Sweet and Extra Dry. It is noted for its honeyed aroma and complex, bittersweet balance. It has a burnished gold hue and smells of honey, caramelized pineapple, and bright citrus. You'll also find floral notes like chamomile and a warm scent from native herbs. The taste is plush and tropical, featuring baked pear, caramelized ginger, and baked golden apple. Unlike the Sweet Vermouth’s focus on figs, this focuses on gooseberry and grapefruit rind. The finish has a long, herbal bitterness driven by Quassia Amara (bitterwood) and Yerba Santa, balanced by a brush of vanilla sweetness from barrel aging. |

Why Unlike standard vermouths that use a simple neutral white wine, a portion of Native Amber's base is skin-fermented (like an orange wine) and aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. This gives it a unique amber color, light tannins, and a nutty complexity. It is one of the most highly awarded modern vermouths, earning a 95-point score from Wine Enthusiast and multiple gold medals from major spirits competitions. |
