	Who Rothman & Winter Orchard Pear Liqueur is produced by Destillerie Purkhart, a family-owned distillery. The liqueur is crafted from the seasonal harvest of Williams pears. The pears are meticulously selected each season from orchards in the Danube Valley and South Tirol (Alto Adige).

	What Rothman & Winter Orchard Pear is prized for tasting exactly like a ripe, juicy Williams pear (also known as a Bartlett pear), and it perfectly captures the grainy, honeyed sweetness of the fruit's flesh, balanced by a light, refreshing citrus-like acidity. The aroma is intense and floral. As soon as you open the bottle, it smells like a basket of fresh pears, with subtle notes of honeysuckle and a hint of the "peppery" spice found in pear skins. It is smooth and slightly syrupy, but because it is bottled at a higher proof (24% ABV) and uses less sugar than standard "crèmes," it feels light and crisp on the tongue.
	Why Most fruit liqueurs are just vodka with flavoring. This one is made by blending fresh pear juice with Pear Brandy (Eau-de-Vie) that the Purkhart family distills themselves. This gives it a punch and a natural warmth that makes the fruit flavor last longer on your palate.
