What Inspired by 15th-century tradition, Aeternum Vodka is crafted to defy the tasteless, neutral profile of modern vodkas, offering a flavor full of rich body and historical character. Because it is initially matured on oak as a rye spirit before being run through the still a second time, the process strips away all of the wood's color while allowing the heavy texture and complexity to remain. On the palate, it drinks incredibly soft and smooth, leading with light grass notes and a subtle grain spice derived from its rye base. It is entirely clear to the eye but finishes with an unexpected, lingering depth that makes it stand out beautifully when sipped neat or mixed into a classic dry martini. |

Why An uncommon and striking drink to make with this spirit is a Savory Vesper with an Olive Oil Wash. Instead of a standard, neutral vodka martini, this variation leans into the rich, velvety texture of the rye-based spirit by first fat-washing a cup of Aeternum Vodka with two tablespoons of high-quality, peppery extra virgin olive oil in a jar, freezing it overnight, and straining out the solidified fats. In a mixing glass, stir 2 ounces of this olive-oil-washed Aeternum Vodka, 1 ounce of Four Thieves Gin (to introduce bold rosemary and clove botanicals), and 0.5 ounces of Lillet Blanc with plenty of ice until bracingly cold. Strain the liquid into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a skewered, blue cheese-stuffed olive wrapped in a fresh sage leaf, resulting in an uncommonly viscous, savory, and aromatic cocktail that completely reimagines the boundaries of a traditional martini. |
