	Who Sausalito Liquor Co. was founded in 2021 by Sausalito resident Scott Jampol, a former marketing executive at OpenTable and part-time bartender, with the goal of returning the art of distilling to the Sausalito area.

	What While it starts as a traditional Kentucky Rye, it is finished in California Port wine barrels from Napa. This secondary aging mellows out the typical aggressive spice of rye whiskey, adding layers of dark fruit, jam, and a velvety texture you don't usually find in standard ryes. The nose has initial scents of blueberry pie, caramel, and warm baking spices, and the palate is rich and balanced, featuring notes of fruitcake, vanilla, and clove. These sweeter elements are counteracted by a distinctive spicy rye kick.
	Why Described as an "easy sipper" with "sneaky depth," Unsinkable Rye Whiskey is approachable for those who might typically find pure ryes too aggressive or spice forward. Despite being a relatively new brand it made a huge splash by winning Best in Show at the 2023 L.A. Spirits Awards. Beating out established heritage brands immediately put it on the map for collectors and bartenders!
