Who Winestillery Tuscan Vermouth is produced by Winestillery, the first and only independent craft distillery in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, Italy. The distillery is a family-run project led by Enrico Chioccioli Altadonna, the Master Distiller, and his brother Niccolò, who serves as the Wine Production Manager. Located in Gaiole in Chianti, the facility operates as both a winery and a distillery, following a "Grape to Glass" philosophy. |

What Winestillery produces two primary styles of vermouth, each with a distinct profile reflecting its "Grape to Glass" philosophy and the local Tuscan terroir. Both are notable for being non-chill filtered and free of artificial caramel coloring. This expression uses a base of Sangiovese wine and is designed to be a "real adult vermouth" that balances bitterness with comfort. The aroma is very intense and complex, leading with violets, small red berries, and medicinal herbs like rosemary and artemisia. Some reviewers also note hints of menthol and dried fruit. It has an elegant, silky mouthfeel. You'll taste a mix of ripe red fruits and blackberries balanced by a distinct herbal bitterness from the wormwood. The finish is long and mineral with a bright sapidity and fresh spicy notes, such as crushed red pepper. |

Why Mix up a Tuscan Negroni, and then set the table. Since a Tuscan Negroni is bold, bitter, and rich with Sangiovese notes, you want a meal that can stand up to those intense flavors. The best pairings follow the "what grows together, goes together" rule—think salty, fatty, and earthy Italian classics. |
